Job Title: Support Manager (Care Homes) Location: Gloucester Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Amber Mace are recruiting on behalf of a family-run care provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, person-centred care. We are now seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Manager to work alongside our Home Managers and leadership team to support quality, compliance, and the smooth running of our services. The Support Manager will provide operational, quality, and business support across two care homes, working closely with both Home Managers to ensure consistently high standards of care, compliance, and performance. This is a hands-on, collaborative role suited to someone who is passionate about care and experienced in supporting services to meet regulatory and business objectives. Key Responsibilities: Support Home Managers with the day-to-day running of both services, offering guidance, problem-solving, and operational oversight Lead on quality assurance and compliance, supporting homes to meet and exceed CQC standards and regulatory requirements Carry out regular audits, action plans, and service reviews, ensuring continuous improvement Support with policies, procedures, and governance, ensuring they are embedded into practice Assist with business and operational performance, including occupancy, staffing, budgets, and efficiency where appropriate Support managers with investigations, incidents, complaints, and safeguarding matters Provide leadership support, coaching, and development to managers and senior staff About You: Passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care Proven experience in a management role within the care sector Strong understanding of CQC standards, compliance, and quality improvement Confident supporting and mentoring managers and leadership teams Organised, proactive, and able to balance quality and commercial priorities Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Values-driven and aligned with a family-run, people-focused culture What We Offer: Salary up to £45,000 per annum Monday to Friday working hours (9am–5pm) Opportunity to play a key role in shaping and supporting high-quality care services Supportive, family-run environment where your contribution is valued Long-term career development opportunities Please contact Holly at Amber Mace for more details on (phone number removed) or email your updated CV to (url removed)
