Job Description

My client is a well-established and highly respected provider of manned guarding security services, delivering tailored protection solutions across commercial, public sector, and critical infrastructure sites. As they continue to expand their national presence, they are looking to appoint a Bid Writer to join their business development and pre-sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping the company secure new contracts, retain existing clients through re-tenders, and support growth across a wide range of security service offerings. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the creation and submission of high-quality written bids, PQQs, tenders, and framework proposals specific to manned guarding services would be nice but not essential. * Work closely with operational leads and the business development team to gather service delivery insights and technical input for each bid. * Produce tailored, persuasive content that highlights the company’s strengths, capabilities, and value-added approach in manned guarding. * Manage the bid process from initial expression of interest through to final submission, ensuring all documentation is compliant and submitted on time. * Support the renewal and retention of key client frameworks through professional and detailed written responses. * Maintain and develop a library of reusable content, case studies, and CVs relevant to manned guarding projects. Ideal Candidate: * Proven experience in bid writing within the security industry, ideally with direct exposure to manned guarding or similar contract-based services. * Strong command of written English with excellent grammar, structure, and attention to detail. * Understanding of compliance, health & safety, and service delivery standards related to the security sector. * Ability to manage multiple deadlines, communicate across departments, and work effectively under pressure. * Proactive, organised, and commercially aware. * (Desirable) Graphic design skills for bid formatting and layout
